3 easy this morning to hidden valley. this oughta be a good week

9 total today with the warmup. ran 8 easy out to the pit of eternal records. i like this better than the boneyard. super super hot and draining today. some of those records are somewhat intact so thats interesting. 8x100m strides when we got  back. good stuff

3 easy to the spectrum this morning

good shock to the system today. havent done speed this fast yet so now we can see the times start to drop. workout was normal warmup, 2x200m starts at "listen to your body" pace with 4 min recovery between each, then 4x400m at 1600 pace (1:04-5) with 3 min 200m jog, then 8x200m hard finishes w 200m recovery jog. cooled down after. splits went like:

didn't time the starts but bryson said 31's for both, which was my first 200m at PV so good stuff

then 4x400 were 1:05, 1:03, 1:04, 1:05, so right on

then 8x200 was 31, 31, 30, 30, 29, 29, 28, 27. good stuff from everyone today

3 easy this morning to the bridge. I'm doing the mile at ultraspire so that'll be fun, wish I could do the 800 with the crew but I have sterling scholar from 9am to 9pm tomorrow.

Warmup and easy 5 to sunriver. Quads are sore from the speed yesterday

Race: Desert Hills Distance Carnival (1 Miles) 00:04:33, Place overall: 1

this has been a good week.

to recap yesterday, I won runner up in region sterling scholar so i got a dope lapel pin lol and its a tremendous honor or something.

the race was good. warmed up with boston listening to weezers new album. that will be one of my more fond memories down the road. did strides and got to the line and felt great. the gun went off and i got out well, alex hill went out to the lead and i was getting boxed in but i was just like nope so i wiggled through to the lead, this was about 100m in. i never heard lap splits or anything, but i lead the race for the rest of the race. with like 50m to go, McKade Steffensen came up on me but i managed to hold him off to the finish. finished first overall with 4:33.08. my first high school win, hopeflly not my last. i dont care that the time was slow; it was a low key meet and yesterday really drained me so that was pretty decent. one thing i did differently for this race was i ate 2 tums about an hour before the race. stomach problems have always haunted me and made me choke in a lot of races so i thought tums would help, and i tried them and i didnt feel a single twinge in my stomach, making the race all legs and lungs which is what it needs to be. so this will be a new pre race food that will help. boston also ran a PR today. good stuff from everyone

met up with bryson at the dixie center for the small workout. we ran on the bike path along the river and there was a nice drizzle and it was nice. then we started the 10x30 sec workout w equal recovery, it felt good and i got some good turnover. nice having someone to run with on a saturday.
