morning- 3 easy

afternoon- did the kosmin test for our first workout of the year. my legs felt like garbage, but i improved from last year. i wasn't as close to josh as i would have liked to be, but that'll change. also i almost caught some of the 800 guys on the second one, so that was kinda cool. i made it about 1500m. we also did 4x300m progression finishes with pushups in between, it felt hard to sprint on these because my legs were so dead, but i finished off strong. weights after.

afternoon- 8 easy out at navajo for wilderness wednesday. the pace felt too easy and i wanted to run ahead a little but i didn't want to be that guy so i just ran with the group. i should get rid of that mentality though, because dropping the pace on the easy runs a little bit is beneficial.

afternoon- 2.5, drills, 8x200m hill repeats with recovery jog back to start, a bit of a cool down, then weights. i worked on form and easing in to this workout, and i felt decent about it. i ended with t pushups on weights, so that was killer.

Ran the mile at the first meet of the year!!! I'll put in my time once I know it. The gun went off and I got elbowed way into the inside, I started out in like 3rd to last. I wasn't worried though; I knew the people in front of me we're gonna die. I started moving up at the 800, and with 300 to go i kicked and passed the people who boxed me out so that was good. Ended up from 3rd to last to like 5th or 6th. Not too shabby, considering the crazy wind and everything. Good stuff from everyone

found out my time, it was 4:45. not too shabby, it's my PR from last year and i got it in the wind. tons of room for improvement.

Matthew caught me, then spencer Neaville caught me. I didn't care too much though cuz I was top 5 which was cool. Super hard run. Really fun though, had a lot of funny roasts with the guys. Race: Nike Chandler Invite Elite 3200 (2 Miles) 00:09:44, Place overall: 15

Morning- warmed up with kale josh and Jaiden just to kind of shake out run, just an easy 2 miles.

Afternoon- spent most of the day chilling at coaches brother in laws house. We just watched basketball and ate food, with some fighting thrown in there. I pinned Jaiden 2 out of 3 times on the trampoline. Sick. Anyway we headed over to the track at about 5 ish so kale could warm up for his race . The elite mile was sick, Carlos Villarreal out kicked the leader who had like a 50m lead on him, he closed the last lap in 55. Disgusting. Also good job to zak and Nate, who both ran 51 in the 400. Anyway me and Jaiden and josh started warming up with about 45 min til the race, then we got our hip numbers and sat in the bullpen. They took us to the track and we did some strides. The gun went off and I got  out pretty well. I hit the first lap in about 1:13, right on pace for a good time. I think I was in about 3rd to last at the mile mark, which was 4:54 ish. I just remember going way harder on the second mile, and I caught a lot of people. I went from close to last to 15th overall out of 30 people. So that was sick. I out kicked 4 people in the last 200, also sick. My second mile must have been 4:50, since I came in at 9:44. It's a huge PR. Everyone did really well today. It was a great experience at a very well put on meet, and it was cool to race with some of those national leaders and stuff. Good stuff from everyone today.

afternoon- 2.5, drills, strides, 4x1200m with first 800 at 2:32, then balls out on the last 400, 3x300m, 4x100m all out. didn't really focus on times for this workout because of the wind, but it was a great effort i feel like. coach had to tweak it a little because it was a really hard day for all of us, but it was a great effort from all of us. i felt like i was flying on those 100s. found out that i'm running the 800m and 1600m at pineview, which is a little scary cuz i'm a 3200 guy, but i'm excited.

Also it means I can't race Connor baller, sorry baller we'll have to duke it out some other time

Afternoon 2.5 drills strides and then we did 10x400m at mile pace (1:08) and on the last 4 of them we had surges in the middle of them at random spots where one of us would lead and surge when we wanted. I hit the first 6 in 68, 69, 68, 67, 66, 68, then I lead the first surge one and I surged at about the 100m mark, finished that one in 68, then other people lead and I finished the next ones in 67, 67, 66. Then we did 4x100m starts with weights after I hit my times on all of them, but I didn't really feel good doing it. I'll have to take care of the little tjings before pine view. Good stuff today

Race: Pine View Invite 1600 (1 Miles) 00:04:34

ran the 1600 at the pine view invite today. its a huge meet, and it was lots of fun. i got to the bullpen and i found out that i was 1 second away from being in the fast heat. that kind of messed with me mentally. i warmed up, got to the line. i was seeded 1st in my heat, so i was in lane 1. the gun went off and i hit the first 200 around 32, then i started settling into my pace. 68 at the 400. i found myself boxed into the pack, so i couldn't get around them, and they had the 2nd lap super slow, 70. i stayed where i was and started picking it up, 3rd lap was 69, then i started to move with 400 to go, and i was duking it out with this kid who i found out was kenyan, and with 200 to go i thought it would be super cool to outkick a kenyan, so i decided to go from there, and out kicked him, and finished with 4:34.04. it was really fun and it's a decent time, but it was 2 seconds shy of state qualifying. my legs were on fire pretty  much the whole last 2 laps, and they've been on fire all week, so to run 4:34 on super tired legs is pretty good i think. also i haven't been outkicked in a race since Footlocker, so maybe i'm building some speed. good stuff from everyone today.

Dang. Congrats!

Race: Midnight. 5k (3.107 Miles) 00:16:48, Place overall: 2

After a bit of a hiatus from the running blog due to a few bad races, let me just recap the end of my junior year. I ran the 3200 at state, where I placed 6th, got a medal, ran a slow (but tactical) time of 9:57, and scored points for our team that went on to win state by about 100 points and set a new 3A record. Pretty good end to the season.

With about 5 hours until the midnight 5k started I decided to register just for the heck of it. Boston won it last year and I knew I could win if he was my only competition. By the way we're right in the middle of our two week break, which means absolutely no runnin. I warmed up about 2 with boston then we got to the line. When we started I got out and it was just me boston and some dude. The dude died out pretty quick, and then some pro sponsored dude or whatever came up from behind, and I stuc with him for the first mile and a half, by then we had gapped everyone else, and I made a tactical mistake by swinging wide on a turn, where he surged and I couldn't match it. He ended up winning in 16:10 and I ran 16:48 for second place. Not too shabby for no running for a week, and it's 16:12 at 3 miles that's pretty tasty for this early. I also won 35 bucks to the running center. Looking forward to a great cross season.

i don't usually put serious stuff on the blog, I like to keep it short and funny but I've decided to make a serious post for Delano. So what it is is at running camp there's a 12,169 foot peak called Delano peak that we run up, and some of our faster guys also get to summit holly and stuff, and coach thatcher started the tradition last year that the first boy up Delano and the first girl up Delano would win a pair of sweet trail running socks. Last year kale won and I took 4th, and ever since, I really wanted those socks. As the "race" drew nearer I started to want to win more not for the socks but because it's my senior year and last time to try to be the first one up Delano, I thought it would be sweet if I was the first one up in my last year doing this crazy sport. So we ran about a .7 mile "warmup" to the point where coach thatcher lets us go for it. Kale took us through the forest pretty quick, and when we got to the base of the mountain it was me , Jaiden, scott, and spencer. Scott and spencer immediately pulled away, and Jaiden fell back a ton. They had about a 20 meter lead on me. I just stayed positive and patient, and when we came to the steepest part of the climb, I knew I could reel them in and start creating gaps, which is exactly what I did. I caught spencer and scott at the steepest part, then ran with Scott a little bit, then started to make my move up the mountain. I didn't look back from this point. Only up at the peak. I got to the point where I couldn't hear their breathing behind me and I knew I had it. I got to the top first in about 28:15 which might be a record, I'll have to see what kale got last year. I just laid down at the top and screamed like rocky did in the 4th one. That was probably the hardest I've pushed myself, and it's now given me the confidence to run with hardcore pain. If you wanna see another sick "race report" check out Scott Sandberg's blog. He also has a sick picture he took from his drone at the top of the mountain

Warmup, first 2 mile time trial at bhnp, barefoot cool down. Well I felt like ultimate garbage, idk what's wrong cuz I felt the same way yesterday and this morning. But I was faster than last year, and I'd say that's pretty good considering how bad I felt today

I just looked at this same time trial from last year, and almost our whole 1-7 was faster than kales winning time from last year, and I was 2 seconds faster this year despite feeling like the south side of a mule. Good stuff from the crew todizzle

It was them up front then me josh Jaiden and spencer in a group. The pace felt good and I ended up taking the lead after the first lap. When no one went with me I slowed it down and let Jaiden lead, then with about .75 to go I regained the lead and held it until about 20 meters to go on the track, and Jaiden out kicked me. Yay fast running blog is back. Anyway today was the desert relays against pine view. The relay teams went in order of your place on the team, so my relay team was jaiden then me then spencer (first team). Jaiden had the first leg and he handed it to me in second place, me and tanner duked it out and with a half mile to go I made a move and handed the baton to spencer in first place, and he finished it off in first place. I had the fastest second leg of the day so I got to write my name on the coveted bowling pin. Good stuff from our entire team today

Me spencer and jaiden worked together for a while, then Jaiden decided to take off. Me and spencer kinda decided not to go with him, and he created a big lead that we closed a little bit, maybe we should have went with him but whatever. Throughout the whole race it was just me and spencer working together, I would surge and we would keep exchanging leads. At the top of the part where we all start our sprints, spencer looked over at me and said "men of the west, move out" and we started kicking. It was about 300m worth of nick, and about 100m in mckade from CV came up on us and we managed to outkick him. I tried to get spence, but he got me by .5 of a second. We almost had a perfect score if it wasn't for josh lol, we scored 17 points, super good stuff with a dhills 123 sweep. Good stuff from everyone today. Time for Netflix and chill lol

AF GRASS RELAYS

Warmed up about 3 miles jogging around cheering everyone on cuz I was our 4th leg. Jaiden ran well, tanner felt like crap or else we would have done better but it's all good, he's a stud, and you can't control how you feel in a race. Josh closed a lot of gap, gave the baton to me. Lone peak had about a 15 second lead on me when I got the baton, it took the whole first mile to catch up to Jamison. I caught them at mile 1, then we worked together until about 500 to go where he made a move that I tried to match, but couldn't quite stick in there. Handed spence the baton in 4th and he held it. All things considered it was pretty good, especially cuz a flat 2 miles isn't our forte, our forte is hilly 3 miles with the TEAM all together. Super pumped to show everyone who we really are at BYU. Cooled down barefoot and drank some good stuff. My time was 10:28, which was 1 second away from getting a plaque  G dang it lol. Good stuff from everyone

Afternoon- warmup, drills, 12x400m on the grass at little valley with first 8 at 1:13-1:15, last 4 at 1:08-1:10, mile cool down. Felt good, hit 1:20 on the first one just getting a feel for it, then ranged 1:11-1:15 on the next ones, then on the last 4 we went a little too fast and went 1:04, 1:05, 1:05, 1:03. It felt good so I guess it's alright. Good stuff from everyone and we got to watch our skinny bodies run cuz coach thatcher videod us it was sick

Also we had to change the course on that park cuz of construction so the first half was downhill the second half was slight uphill as opposed to all slight downhill

BYU

Warmed up with the crew, got to the line with big goals. The gun went off and I immediately got out pretty dang well, maybe a little too well. I was right around top 10 for 2.5 miles. Spent most of the race flirting with Davis 3rd 4th and 5th guys, which was perfect.  According to coach we were only 3 points away from Davis at 2.5 miles, but me and tanner lost some places. Anyway, with about a half mile to go a group with Connor baller, max spence, Galen, Jamison, and a mountain view(?) kid came up on me, I stuck with them til the track but I couldn't quite catch them. I had gained ground on Galen, he got me by a second, and right at the line Davis's 4th guy almost got me but I got him with the head lean. Finished with 15:55, they said it was 3 miles but I'm thinking more like 3.05 or 5k but whatever, times don't matter it's all about place. Finished 13th overall, we took second to Davis but only by 24 POINTS!!!!! This was the closest we've ever been. A few of our guys (spence, tanner, and maybe Bryson) didnt run as well as we know they could have, but they're studs and once everything comes together, things will be glorious. Super awesome stuff from everyone.

Shout out to Connor baller for showing me the light as to how long the course is.

On the way back we found a huge water tank and a weird underground bunker thing with a dead rabbit in it, weird stuff man.

It would be a lot easier for me to see your blog if you showed up on the mileage board

Morning- 3 easy to hidden valley. We're doing the Michigan today...for those of you who don't know what the Michigan is, let me tell you right now. It's a 2 mile warmup, then a fast mile on the track (4:55-5:10 ish) then one minute of recovery, then a road mile at about 5:45, then a fast 1200 on the track, then a road mile, then a fast 800 on the track, then a road mile, and then whatever you have left is used in an all out 400 on the track, and if after all that you break 60, coach buys you dinner. So far I've ran 61 like 4 times but today will be the day. Stay tuned for details . BY THE WAY THERES 1 minute of recovery between everything

7:15 PM- 3 mile warmup (including strides) , Michigan, mile cool down. I'm gonna put my goal times and then what I did hit.

Track mile: 5:05-5:10, hit 5:01

Road mile: 5:45, hit 5:43

Track 1200: 3:45, hit 3:43

Road mile: 5:45, hit 5:41

Track 800: 2:26-2:28, hit 2:26

Road mile: 5:45, hit 5:40

All out 400: goal time was sub 60, hit 59.

Today was a HUGE confidence booster.

Morning-3 easy to hidden valley. Kale came and it was royal. Just got out of ithe oral surgery and I'm still gas from laughing gas hehehe it's good stuff

Afternoon-Lol i  just couldn't even, my body was 300% done. the plan was to do 16x400s at vernon worthen at 1:13, and drop the last 4, but due to my surgery this morning my body couldn't quite handle that, so i did 6x400s in 1::21, 1:12, 1:13, 1:13, 1:13, 1:19, then jogged around for a while (very light-headed..i guess it takes a day for the drugs to be out of my system lol) then i decided to do the last one with the guys and i went 1:06. not too bad considering everything, and this is a really good week for this surgery to happen, because of woodbridge next week. gonna hammer the workout on saturday tho, i'm ready!

we were camping at hatch today so we could get a run at higher elevation. The plan was to warmup for 3 miles, run 4 miles at 7:00-7:15 pace, then 3 miles at 6:30, then 6:00, then whatever you had left in the tank. We were at 8,100 ish feet on a hilly fire road, and because of the hills we ended up doing 4x3:00 min instead of the tempo so we didn't have to worry about pace. It was way good stuff, and my body is feeling better since all the drugs are out of my system lol. Good long run and good finish for the whole crew to a hecka hard week. Now it's time for Woodbridge 😍😍😍😍

Afternoon- warmup, drills, strides, then we did our ladder workout on the track at 9 pm to get ready for Woodbridge. We did 200 400 800 1200 1600 and back down. I'll put my goal times and then what I did hit:

200: 36, hit 36

400: 1:13, hit 1:12

800: 2:25, hit 2:23

1200: 3:42, hit 3:41

1600: 5:05-5:10, hit 5:03

1200: same goal times, hit 3:40

800: 2:21

400: 1:05

200: 28

I felt pretty good. The fast stuff is still in me so I know I can finish fast, and I know I have the endurance too. Woodbridge is gonna be siiiick, I know I'm ready for a blazin time and we're gonna kill it as a team too. Also a fun drive a little over an hour out on the AZ strip with boston and Scott made for a pretty swick day

today was a great day. we chilled all day playing dying liight as usual. got to the course and warmed up. did our strides and stuff. the gun went off and i got out pretty well, righ where i wanted to be. hit the mile in 4:57, then really tried to push the second mile to try to hold that pace. came across 2 miles in 10:02. still good stuff and i was moving up. kept moving up, then with about 1000m to go spencer came up on my side and said "men of the west, prepare to move out" and i started laughing cuz hes the best. he passed me and i went with him until he started his gnarly kick, he crossed at 15:44 and i was 5 seconds back with 15:49. i passed like 4 guys with 800 to go and like 5 guys in the last 400 meters, so i'd consider it a success. we won by a large margin and got a huge trophy and some sick milesplit/dyestat shoutouts, and nike backpacks. good stuff from our crew, and this was without Tanner, who is an important top 5 scorer. super pumped for what that shows for nike.

REGION

No morning run this morning. Idk how I felt about it because it felt like my legs never warmed up during our warm up, maybe it's because of no running in the morning. Who knows. Anyway we warmed up and it was pretty sad cuz it's my last region race. Legs felt flat. The gun went off and I got out right where I wanted to be. Mile 1 felt chill. Mile 2 was a little harder, i was still top 3 but I was fading. Idk why I just felt drained all day today. But I worked my way back up on the final long uphill section and caught nick, but at the top of the hill he blew by me and I couldn't hang. Kinda cruised it in to the finish. Weird race. But we won with 22 pts to 38 pts so that's pretty good. Took 6th just like last year. All in all it was probably a good race cuz the course was hard and it was actually longer than 3 but I won't guess on the distance for this entry. Now it's time to focus up for state, because that's the real goal. Good stuff from everyone today

Run your race. Focus on the little things, sleep, nutrition, time organization (to alleviate stress) and also focus on things other than running. When you find yourself thinking about it, give yourself a few positive concepts and then think of something else.

Running is long term, so should your thinking be.

Morning- ran 3 easy to hidden valley. Last morning run of the regular season. Almost shed a tear

Afternoon- our last workout before state. Did a 2 mile warmup, strides, drills, then a mile on the track at 5k pace, 1 mile cool down. Felt really really smooth. Hit 69, 76, 80, 64 for 4:49. Smoothest I've felt going that fast. Good stuff. Now time to focus up cuz I will achieve my goal at state.

STATE

First of all congrats to everyone today. There were some great races.

Warmed up with the crew. Had a good time. The gun went off and I got out right where I wanted to be, right around 8th place. The lead pack was me hell raiser Josh Jaiden spence and Dallen I think and some stand bury bro and bear river and mckade steffensen. When we got to the first big hill I made sure to take it conservative cuz everyone blasts up it and that's really stupid. Held my place til the long gradual hill around the pond. Halfway up it I took the lead and held it until about 1200 meters to go when nick started moving. I tried to go with him but my legs wouldn't carry me where my mind wanted me. Finished strong the last 400. Came in 6th. This was one of our bad races this year. We collectively had bad races as a team. But the positives are also great. Our collective bad race still resulted in a 3rd straight state championship. We will now be regarded as the underdogs, just like after we didn't race well at American fork. But recall the race after American fork, which was BYU, where we had one of our best team races. If the pattern continues, Nike southwest is going to be historical this year. So I'm going to embrace this underdog position but don't count out desert hills. We're ready

great afternoon workout from everyone in the rain. at the muddy, slippery little valley park we did a 2.5 mile warmup, drills, then 4x200m starts, then 12x400m at 1:10-1:13 with the last 4 at 1:06-1:08, then a mile cooldown. legs were heavy from pretty much everyone, which is why i think this workout was great cuz we all hit our times. ranged from 1:10-1:12 on the first 8, then i ranged 1:05-1:08 on the last 4. great push from everyone. finished really hard due to a great speech from coach which was eye opening and motivating to the max

Today was the Halloween run, I was a guy straight out of like 1973 it was great lol. I didn't plan anything until this morning when I decided to just google "70s men's fashion" and I just tried to copy the first pic that came up. Me and Scott went to the DI 4th period to try and put stuff together and it worked out awesome

Met at Warner valley at 630 with the crew to do our workout. It was 10 miles total, first 5 miles warmup then 3 miles at 6:30 pace then last 2 miles at goal Nike pace. I'd say we did pretty good considering the hard week. Jaiden hit 10:07 Josh was 10:15 Bryson was 10:25 I was 10:30 and Scott and bos and gibby killed it too. We all negative split and it was sick and now we're at Denny's making sweet passionate conversation. Oh also we went up to watch the big sky conference XC championships it was sick Hayden Hawks is my idol. SUU would be cool to run for. Also we got a pic with good ol cam Levins which was also pretty neat

3 easy to hidden valley this morning

we did the legendary Michigan this afternoon. for those of you who don't know what it is, i'll explain it. 2 mile warmup, 4x100m strides, mile on the track at 5k pace, 1 minute recovery, mile on the road at 5:35 pace, 1 minute recovery, 1200m on the track at faster than 5k pace, 1 minute recovery, mile on the road at 5:35 pace, 1 minute recovery, 800m on the track at way faster than 5k pace, 1 minute recovery, road mile at 5:35 pace, 1 minute recovery, all out 400m on the track and if after all that you break 60, coach buys you dinner. i'll put my goal times then what i did hit:

track mile: 5:00 to 5:05, hit 4:53

road mile: 5:30-35, hit 5:20

track 1200m: 3:41, hit 3:41

road mile: (same) hit 5:23

track 800m: 2:23-2:25, hit 2:19

road mile: (same) hit 5:19

all out 400m: hit 58

(these are the times coach told us)

really good stuff from everyone today. i improved just about everything from the last michigan so thats sick. this was my last michigan of my high school career. very bittersweet. pumped for nxsw

3 easy in the morning to hidden valley. we do it like every day lol

afternoon was fun. we did the card game workout to 3200m, which was sick. what it is is you draw cards and based on the number you draw, thats the length of the hill repeat you do. 1-3 is 100m, 4-8 is 200m, 9-Jack is 300m, and Jack-Ace is 400m. we ended up doing like 400 100 400 100 400 400 100 300 200 or someting like that, basically we just got a lot of 400s and 100s but it added up to 3200m. the only ones we timed were the 400's, which we averaged about 1:12's so that was sick. good workout from everyone today

i'm just here to help.

met at 8 am for the workout at the track. did a 2 mile warmup, drills, 2x200m starts, 4x100m strides, then began our 8 lap pilgrimage. it was 8x400m at 68-72 pace with :30 second recovery. the recovery is what made it hard, it was so short. i averaged 69.25, so id say it was pretty stellar. 1 mile cool down. sadies, lol

Did a little math when I got home, if I put those splits together it would be a 9:14 2 mile so that's pretty neat

3 easy to the bridge again. frikkin cold. race today with the good ol' panthers, super pumped

Came early to help mark mark the course. Built a bridge with Boston and he put a nice flower in the middle. Went home to get my stuff and showed up a little late but got warmed up good. Mark said go and the first 400 meters felt fast but good. Came across the mile in 5:05 with a nice pack of me Jaiden hell raiser def Dallen josh and Bryson and tanner. At the mile Jaiden took off which was good to string it out, Josh went for him and I went for Josh  and Tanner went for me it was good. Ended up Jaiden 9:49 Josh 9:56 tanner 10:02 me 10:03 ( if my first mile was 5:05 then I finished in 4:58 which is a good negative split, had some left in the tank which I think was intended for this race) and Bryson 10:09, our first perfect score as a team. Super super super super awesome stuff from the team today, even though we may not have hit the times we wanted. Nike will be tons faster and I'm so excited. Good stuff from everyone, dhills and PV, today.

Also, we all ran in trainers, so if we ran in spikes we could have all been a good 5-10 seconds faster, which is super sick.

Afternoon was fun. We drove to little valley park for some grass repeats. We did 3x800m with goal pace 2:35-40 with 1:30 recovery jog, then 4x400m at 1:10-12 ish with 1:00 recovery jog, then 4x200m finishes. Hit 2:40, 2:34, 2:32, then 1:11 1:10 1:09 1:07 I think, then we didn't time the finished but Bryson timed the last one and he said he hit 29 so I was probably a high 28, which is good on grass. Today was the day. Warmed up, felt good. The gun went off and our whole top 5 got out perfectly. I went through the dip and let it slingshot me forward. Hit the first mile in a blistering 4:51, still feeling good. During the second mile I was duking it out with a few timp guys, both of which I would later beat. Hit 2 miles in 10:00, then Connor baller came up on me about halfway to go, and I stuck on him for about 1200m, until he pulled away and I was left with the timps again. I hit the big tree, 800m to go, and I was pushing really hard. I was worried because by this point, Josh and spence hadn't caught up yet, so I realized that I needed to go as hard as I can, cuz maybe they weren't feeling so good. Hit the last straight away and went all out from there. Passed 2 guys right after the dip and got the timps a little after that, and one more guy right before the finish. Crossed at 15:39 with a 5:08 last mile, a big PR. When i  I , I really , probably for the first time ever, felt like I had nothing left in the tank. I had turned myself inside out. But unfortunately,  it wasn't enough to secure us a spot at NXN. Very very sad. This was my last XC race as a high schooler and it did not end how we wanted, how we planned for a whole year after the same thing happened last year. But I honestly don't feel at all as bad as I thought I would if we didn't qualify. The results were weird. The team scores were Mountain vista ( who we had beat at Woodbridge) then timp, then lone peak (who we had not lost to all year), then American fork, then Ogden(who we had not lost to all year) then us, then Davis. It just shows how anything can happen in cross country. I could dwell on all the negatives about today. But Gandalf once said "all we have to do is decide what to do with the time we've been given us" and honestly (I'm nearly in tears writing this) I've had so many great experiences with this team, from going to California to compete at national level races, to being nationally ranked, to setting prs, and being 4 time region champs, and 3 time state champs, and 4 time region champs in track and 3 at state, but most importantly just having fun with my brothers who I love so much. These guys mean the world to me, and it's been a terrific three years. Also I wouldn't have met Alli P if I hadn't started running lol. I love you all

Gandalf's pretty wise. Great job. You didn't let your team down, all that can be expected of you is to run your best. While it's possible you could have run slightly slower and wiser the first mile and thus faster overall, you ran a great race, a PR is always the best.

Well done and I look forward to continuing to follow your progress.

day 1 of our two week break. coach said no footlocker so we can kind of recover from a little disappointment, and just focus on stuff other than running. it will be really good for me i think, so we can be ready to roll for track in 2 weeks.

Since I'm not running for two weeks, I'll be playing a lot of basketball and pickleball and just doing fun stuff with my friends, so there's no point in using the blog until we start up again for track. See you all in two weeks, my sweet desert blossoms!

Afterwards he gave my Christmas present which turned out to be a dope machete, check my snapchat story to see what it looks like, thanks Scott my sweet desert blossom

Just ran 5 by myself to the boneyard. Kept it slow and easy. Finished the run not limping, but there were a few twinges every now and then. It was like a dull sore but that was probably from the massage, hopefully that run loosened up the area and it can start healing. If the feeling I felt today wasn't pain from the massage then I might have to take some days off which I really don't want to do, so let's hope it was just tight from the massage. Also I looked to the right of the boneyard and there was snow in the superdome so that was sick

As I'm laying in bed right now, there's no Achilles pain however I move it. Today's run will kind of be the check point as to whether or not I have to take time off so wish me luck.

PAIN FREE

Really good run today. Went and did the boneyard again by myself, saw Bailee out running so that was nice. There were occasional dull twinges whenever I landed on a rock or something on the trail, but other than that I was pain free in the Achilles for this run. I don't want to jinx myself but I think I'll be fine.
